Which Pokemon can nest / migrate?

Short Answer: Most common Pokemon can nest, but legendaries, mythicals, and some special Pokemon cannot.

Not all Pokemon can nest - there are specific rules about which species can appear in nests.

Pokemon That CAN Nest:

  • Most common Pokemon (Pidgey, Rattata, etc.)
  • Many evolution lines (starters, Eevee family)
  • Some uncommon species (varies by generation)
  • Regional Pokemon in their native regions

Pokemon That CANNOT Nest:

  • Legendary Pokemon (Mewtwo, Lugia, etc.)
  • Mythical Pokemon (Mew, Celebi, etc.)
  • Ultra Beasts (Nihilego, Buzzwole, etc.)
  • Some special event Pokemon
  • Most shiny-locked species

Nest Migration Schedule:

  • Every 2 weeks (typically Wednesdays)
  • Species change at migration
  • Same locations get new species
  • Predictable timing worldwide

Finding Nest Pokemon:

  • Use nest tracking websites
  • Check local community reports
  • Look for cluster spawns
  • Monitor migration announcements

Tip: Keep track of migration schedules to know when your target species might start nesting!
