How do you hunt shundos / shinies?

Short Answer: Hunt shundos by checking 100IV Pokemon for shinies, and hunt regular shinies at mega nests.

There are two main strategies for hunting shinies and shundos in Pokemon GO:

Shundo Hunting (Shiny + 100IV):

  1. Teleport/snipe to 100IV Pokemon locations
  2. Click on the Pokemon to check if it’s shiny
  3. If shiny and off cooldown: Catch it immediately!
  4. If shiny but on cooldown: Wait for cooldown to end, then catch
  5. If not shiny: Run away and teleport to the next 100IV

Regular Shiny Hunting:

  • Teleport to a mega nest of your target Pokemon
  • Catch everything you see of that species
  • Stay at the mega nest for a couple of days

Tip: Staying at a mega nest for a couple of days is almost guaranteed to produce the shiny Pokemon you’re after.

Pro Tips:

  • Use coordinates from reliable sources
  • Check multiple 100IV spawns for shundos
  • Patience is key for mega nest hunting
